BetMGM Rewards VIP Program Review Overview

BetMGM Rewards is used by the BetMGM online sportsbook and casino. Learn how to earn Rewards Points and other perks at BetMGM here.

Connected with MGM Rewards, BetMGM Rewards is its online sportsbook and casino players club. Retail casinos operated by MGM Resorts use MGM Rewards. Rebranded in 2019, the program was once called Mlife. Perks may be transferred between the two businesses. Since MGM Resorts only owns half of BetMGM, this helps it with internal bookkeeping. BetMGM is a partnership between MGM Resorts and Entain.

BetMGM is the largest online sportsbook that a casino company operates. The ability to connect online accounts with the perks MGM Rewards offers is one of those reasons. MGM Rewards comps may be used at Borgata in Atlantic City, Beau Rivage in Biloxi, as well as the company’s Las Vegas properties. This includes Aria, Bellagio, Luxor, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, and New York-New York.

The BetMGM Sportsbook automatically enrolls players in BetMGM Rewards. This is also true of its online casino

How to earn BetMGM Rewards Points

The most important part of an online sportsbook VIP program is earning points. Points may be exchanged for bonus bets and other perks. Unfortunately, MGM Resorts does not report the exact formula for how it computes points. It is based on what BetMGM and MGM Resorts feel is the theoretical house edge on the bet. However, each bet type earns a minimum number of points. Additionally, wagers with a higher house edge award more points.

Minimum points awarded

The numbers below show the maximum wagering requirement to earn one BetMGM Rewards Points. If the odds are longer, or the house advantage is higher, then more reward points may be given.

  • Straight bets: $5
  • Parlays, including same-game: $2
  • Standard online casino slots: $5
  • Jackpot online casino slots: $10
  • Online table games and video poker: $25
  • Online poker rake: $0.20

BetMGM Rewards Tiers

There are five tiers in BetMGM Rewards. These are the same as MGM Rewards. Tier Points, which are earned at the same rate as Rewards Points, may also be combined for use at MGM Resorts casinos and on BetMGM apps to achieve the highest tier possible.

This list shows the annual Tier Points required to enter a tier. Players start at Sapphire. Noir is by invite-only. MGM determines if there was enough action at higher limit games and bets to award entry into Noir. Sports bettors who only make straight wagers and casino ones who only play blackjack and video poker are less likely to make Noir than parlay and slot players.

  • Sapphire: 0-19,999
  • Pearl: 20,000-74,999
  • Gold: 75,000-199,999
  • Platinum: 200,000 or more
  • Noir: Invite-only

BetMGM Rewards tier perks

Each BetMGM Rewards tier offers perks to players. The list below shows the new comps given when achieving it. All comps in lower tiers are also offered.

  • Sapphire: $5 bonus bets on your birthday and anniversary of creating your BetMGM account.
  • Pearl: 10% Rewards Points boost, $10 birthday and anniversary bonuses, line passes, and free parking.

Redeeming Reward Credits

BetMGM Rewards Credits vary in value. In most cases, 100 points equal $1, making each worth a penny. BetMGM Rewards Points may be converted into bonus bets and free play on the sportsbook or casino app. Points may also be transferred to any MGM Resorts casino in the form of free slot play. MGM Rewards retail casino players also receive express comps. These may be used for food and other amenities.
